ST. LOUIS — Two men were shot and injured Tuesday night as the result of an argument in St. Louis' Central West End neighborhood.

According to St. Louis police, the double shooting happened shortly after 9 p.m. outside Wingstop on the 4000 block of Lindell Boulevard.

Arriving officers found damage to nearby buildings and cars as a result of the shooting, according to the department.

A preliminary investigation indicated that a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old man got into an argument with two other men that led to them shooting each other. The shooting victims showed up at an area hospital a short time later.

One man had multiple gunshot wounds to the lower body, and the other man was shot in the ankle.

Police did not have further details on the victims' conditions but said they were both conscious and breathing.

There were no other reported injuries.

The two other men involved in the shooting were not in custody as of Wednesday afternoon.

Police asked anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477).
