8 children, 1 adult suffer minor injuries after Orchard Farm school bus rear-ended

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. — Eight children and a school bus driver were taken to a hospital with minor injuries after a school bus was rear-ended Thursday afternoon in St. Charles County.

First responders were notified at around 4 p.m. of a crash on Highway 94 in Orchard Farm, about 2 miles north of its intersection with Highway H.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said an Orchard Farm School District bus stopped for traffic when a GMC Yukon failed to stop and rear-ended the bus.

The bus driver and eight children ranging from ages 6-11 were taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

There were no further details on the crash.

A request for comment from the Orchard Farm School District was not immediately returned.
