Two dead after wrong-way crash in St. Charles County

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. — Two people were killed after a wrong-way crash Tuesday evening in St. Charles County. 

The crash happened around 8:45 p.m. on southbound US Highway 61 south of Route P near Flint Hill, Missouri. 

Two drivers, 84-year-old Ray J. Jackson and 19-year-old Ryan R. White, were pronounced dead at a St. Louis area hospital.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Jackson was driving a 2015 BMW X5 northbound in the southbound lanes of US-61. White was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu in the southbound lane.

The two vehicles collided head-on. Jackson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, MSHP said. The report said it is unknown if White was wearing one.

No additional information was released regarding the crash.
