4 kids, 3 adults seriously injured Monday in Jefferson County crash

HIGH RIDGE, Mo. — Three adults and four children, the youngest being 4 years old, were seriously injured in a crash Monday night on Missouri Route 30 in High Ridge.

At about 6:35 p.m. Monday, a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox was stopped at a red light on eastbound Route 30 at Rock Creek Road when the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse traveling behind it failed to stop and rammed into the back of it, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The driver of the Equinox, a 49-year-old man, and his three passengers, a 45-year-old woman, a 13-year-old girl and a 9-year-old girl, suffered serious injuries in the crash, according to MSHP.

The driver of the Traverse, a 29-year-old woman, and two young passengers, a 6-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy, also suffered serious injuries.

All were taken via ambulance to area hospitals for medical treatment.
