Airline adding flights at Lambert Airport to key destination

Additional flights are coming to St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

ST. LOUIS — Additional flights to a key destination are coming to St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

United Airlines is adding two daily, nonstop flights to St. Louis from San Francisco, beginning Aug. 19, according to its booking platform. The flights will be served by Airbus A319 twin-engine jets, according to flight booking information.

The flights were first reported in a social media post Friday by Ishrion Aviation, an airline tracking site. Ishrion also reported that United is adding two daily flights from San Francisco to Detroit.

United last served both routes before the pandemic shut down in 2020.

Last month, Southwest Airlines restarted daily nonstop service from Lambert to San Francisco, in addition to additional seasonal routes and the resumption of seasonal service to several vacation destinations in Florida and Mexico.

In 2023, Lambert reported 14.9 million total passengers, up nearly 9% from 2022 but down from nearly 15.9 million in 2019.
