Man killed in Friday night shooting in Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood identified

A brief report from investigators says the victim, a 29-year-old man, was shot in the head, arms and leg. Police are investigating the shooting as a homicide.

ST. LOUIS — A man was killed in a St. Louis shooting Friday night, police said.

He was struck by gunfire during a shooting in the Jeff-Vander-Lou area, near Aldine and N Spring avenues, around 10:30 p.m., a brief report from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said.

The victim, 29, was shot in the head, arms and leg. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified him Tuesday as 29-year-old Dominick Horton.

Police released no other information.
