ST. LOUIS — A cookie shop in the Central West End is facing possible eviction.
Living Euclid LLC, an entity tied to Lakewood, New Jersey-based real estate owner and operator Living Residential, said in a lawsuit filed March 19 in St. Louis Circuit Court that Hot Box Cookies, its tenant at 54 N. Euclid Ave, is overdue in rent.
The late-night cookie delivery shop as of Jan. 30 had an outstanding balance of $44,201, court documents state.
Hot Box, which did not immediately respond to a request for comment, signed a 10-year lease for the space beginning March 31, 2020, where it pays monthly rent of $3,879, according to court documents.
Reinker, Hamilton & Fenley LLC, the Richmond Heights-based law firm representing Living Residential, said it was unable to comment on pending litigation.
