Recognize him? Police looking for man suspected in midtown bar shooting

St. Louis police said they are looking for this man suspected fo a shooting at Midtown Bar and Grill.

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis police released a photo of a man suspected in a shooting at a bar in St. Louis last month.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened March 12 at Midtown Bar & Grill on Vandeventer Avenue in the city's Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood.

Police started the investigation after the 51-year-old victim arrived at an area hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg and a cut on the back of his head. Police said the suspect walked up to the victim in the bar, hit the victim in the back of the head with the gun and fired a shot at him.

The victim was listed in stable condition while being treated at the hospital.

On Thursday, police released a photo of the man they said fired the shot.

Anyone with information was asked to call SLMPD detectives at 314-444-2500 or leave an anonymous tip with CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477).
