ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. — Two motorcyclists were injured in a crash that closed the eastbound lanes of Missouri Route 370 in St. Charles County Tuesday evening.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the crash was reported shortly before 8 p.m. on MO-370 before the Missouri Route 94 exit.
Missouri State Highway Patrol spokesman Dallas Thompson said two motorcycles struck the back of a tractor-trailer and crashed. Both riders were injured and taken to an area hospital.
A MoDOT traffic camera showed a heavy plume of smoke at the scene.
Drivers were asked to use an alternative route.
