SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A 2-year-old girl was found safe and her non-custodial parents were taken into custody after an Amber Alert was issued for her in Springfield, Missouri, Tuesday afternoon.
The Springfield Police Department said the missing 2-year-old is in the custody of the State of Missouri. She had last been seen at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at Wonders of Wildlife with her non-custodial parents.
Her parents had been seen on camera at 11:22 a.m. Tuesday, leaving Bass Pro with their daughter through an exit facing Campbell Avenue.
Police said in an update Tuesday evening that the girl had been found safe.
