The Battlehawks beat the Renegades 27-24 on Saturday in their first home game of the season.

ST. LOUIS — A record-breaking crowd watched Saturday night as the St. Louis Battlehawks beat the Arlington Renegades during their Week 2 matchup at the Dome at America's Center.

Despite a busy night for St. Louis sports fans with the Cardinals, St. Louis CITY SC and the Blackhawks all playing downtown, 40,317 people were in attendance at the Dome for the Battlehawks 2024 home opener, according to a news release from the UFL. It beat the record for attendance at a modern spring football league game.

The previous record for attendance was set March 12, 2023, when 38,310 people came out to the Battlehawks' home opener against the Renegades. In that game, St. Louis beat Arlington 24-11.

Next Saturday, the Battlehawks will face off against the San Antonio Brahmas at the Alamodome. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. CDT.
