ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Lids on Friday will open a new store at the Saint Louis Galleria, marking the third-ever brick-and-mortar location of the sport retailer’s “Lids Hat Drop” concept.

The concept — which sells exclusive and limited-edition hats, including collaborative pieces localized to each store’s surrounding community — launched in 2022 as an online-only concept, but the Indianapolis-based retailer has since opened two physical stores of the concept: one in New York in late 2022 and one in Houston last April.

“St. Louis has had a longstanding fashion, headwear and sneaker culture that we wanted to tap into,” said Lids President Bob Durda. “When we look at our fashion headwear numbers, St. Louis, especially out of the Galleria, is in our top 10 markets.”
