ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Slumberland Furniture is shuttering its store near Des Peres in west St. Louis County, according to the company's website.

The company didn’t announce a closing date for the store, located at 2101 Barrett Station Road in unincorporated St. Louis County, along the Des Peres border. It said the store's entire inventory is on sale and must go "after losing the lease for the store."

However, until January, the Barrett Station Road property had been owned by Larson Family Real Estate LLLP, an entity affiliated with the Larson family that owns Slumberland, county and state records show.

The property now is owned by St. Louis COG Inc., an entity tied to Twin Rivers Church, and was acquired Jan. 2 for $900,000, according to county and state records. The 83,235-square-foot property was appraised for $6.6 million in 2023.

Twin Rivers Church did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
