HAZELWOOD, Mo. — Marson Foods, a Carson City, Nevada-based maker of waffle products, on Wednesday opened its nearly 150,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse facility in Hazelwood.

The space, at 1590 Tradeport Drive, represents a $35 million investment, although the total cost likely ended up being a bit higher, said Jan Marson, who co-owns the company with her husband, Dave.

No strangers to the food manufacturing space, the Marsons previously founded Nature’s Bakery, which manufactures plant-based, nut-free and dairy-free snack products, and in 2020 was acquired by energy bar maker Kind in a $400 million deal. The couple now split their time between St. Louis and Nevada, Marson said.
