ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A man who went on a grocery run in Fenton, Missouri, brought home a life-changing lottery ticket.

The Missouri Lottery said the man, who was not identified in the release, won a $1 million prize on a "100X The Money" scratcher ticket from a Missouri Lottery vending machine at the Schnucks on Gravois Bluffs Drive.

The man told Missouri Lottery that he started scratching the $10 ticket but stopped when he saw the "100X" symbol, indicating he might be in for a big payday. He brought the ticket to his wife and let her scratch it the rest of the way.

The winner said he originally thought he had won $100, but his wife told him they had just won $1 million.

“My wife had to pinch herself to make sure she wasn’t dreaming,” he said.
