ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. — Human remains that were found Tuesday afternoon on the Missouri River in St. Charles County have been identified.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Cpl. Dallas Thompson said Marine Division troopers were called in at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday after boaters discovered the body on the Missouri riverbank, about a mile downstream from the Daniel Boone Bridge.

The victim was identified as 29-year-old Alexander Stark of Kansas City, Missouri.

According to an MSHP report, Stark was previously reported missing on the Missouri River on Feb. 18.

The Washington Police Department and Fire Department searched for Stark on Feb. 18 after receiving a call from a family member who said their relative had entered the Washington Missouri Riverfront.

Stark's personal belongings were found on a wing dike west of the Missouri River Bridge and in the water east of the bridge, according to a previous press release.
