Drake mentions mother, daughter killed after St. Louis concert during Buffalo, New York, show

"You never know what somebody else's reality will be when they walk out of this building," the Canadian rapper said before giving his fans a call to action.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Two weeks after a mother and daughter were killed while walking out of a Drake concert in St. Louis, the Canadian rapper mentioned them in a stadium filled with 18,000 fans as a reminder of how fragile life is.

Drake mentioned the Feb. 14 incident during his concert in Buffalo, New York, during a monologue in the middle of his show on Tuesday night. He specifically mentioned watching a viral video showing the moment the car hit 42-year-old Laticha Bracero and 21-year-old Alyssa Cordova, a video that the now-released suspected driver's defense attorney said may cause issues in the prosecution of the case.

"I saw a video today ... we had a show in St. Louis where a mother and her young daughter lost their life leaving the show," Drake said at the Buffalo concert. "I wanted to say to you, as happy as these [concerts] are, I wanted to say to you that you never know what somebody else's reality will be when they walk out of this building."

Drake immediately followed up the mention with a call to action for all of his fans.

"For this moment that all of us are together, all 18,000 people, what I want to do ... I want you to turn to somebody that you do not know, I want you to look them in the eyes, and I want you to prove that you are grateful for your life," he said. "I want you to take five seconds out of your day to make somebody else's day. Just show them some love, because you never know what comes next."
