Clayton-based public company to add 98 jobs in $7.4M expansion

CLAYTON, Mo. — Belden Inc. (NYSE: BDC), the Clayton-based supplier of network infrastructure products and services, plans to add nearly 100 jobs in East Syracuse, New York, in an expansion project there.

Belden is investing $7.4 million into two facilities located in East Syracuse, to strengthen its ability to develop fiber products used for broadband internet. The company said its expansion project will add an additional 98 jobs at the two facilities, which currently employ 380. The East Syracuse facilities house Belden's primary Broadband Solutions location and are part of Belden's PPC Broadband brand, the company said.

Belden said the expansion includes renovating a distribution center at one of the two facilities to become a “world-class manufacturing production line and associated equipment, creating a showroom Center of Excellence.”
