Music at the Intersection 2024 artist lineup announced

This year's headliners include Chaka Khan, Black Pumas, Big Boi of Outkast, Trombone Shorty, Chingy and Lettuce.

ST. LOUIS — Music at the Intersection returns for its fourth year at St. Louis' Grand Center Arts District with a lineup featuring genre-shaping greats as well as a multitude of new-wave artists. 

More than 50 national, regional and local artists will perform at the outdoor festival.

“Last year we acknowledged 50 years of hip-hop, but we celebrate hip-hop and all of our musical genres every day,” Kranzberg Arts Foundation Executive Director Chris Hansen said in a statement. “This year’s lineup reflects that, with St. Louis giants, living legends and rising stars."

The music festival will take place the weekend of Sept. 14-15, and performances will span four different stages.

Things kick off at 1 p.m. Saturday. Performances with a focus on hip-hop, funk and soul stretch late into the evening.

Saturday's lineup includes Black Pumas, Big Boi, Lettuce, Chingy, Jordan Ward, Cimafunk, Joe Russo’s Selcouth Quartet, Lady Wray, Thumpasaurus, Tef Poe and EFG with special guests, BeBe The Neo-Sout featuring special guests, Starwolf, Bates & The Strangers, Mvstercamp featuring DARKWOOD, Aida Ade and Alexia Simone and werQfest Ball featuring Bronze Avery and Kristopher Lay. Exclusive DJ programming in Sophie’s Artist Lounge, which is limited to VIP and VIP+, includes Sound Clash featuring Blvck Spvde, BIKO, 18andCounting, DJ Tycoon, MAXA, DJ PBNJEFFY, DJ Pharaoh and Stazi.

Sunday begins with a gospel brunch at 11 a.m. in partnership with the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Pop-up choirs will entertain attendees as they enjoy brunch-themed food and beverages in the food truck court.

Sunday's performances focus heavily on jazz, blues and heritage. The lineup includes Chaka Khan, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Esperanza Spalding, Samara Joy, Stanley Clarke Band, Robert Randolph Band, Keyon Harrold presents Foreverland featuring surprise guests, Jazz St. Louis Celebrates Jazz From The East Side, Marquise Knox with Funky Butt Brass Band, Dylan Triplett, Al Holliday & The East Side Rhythm Band, Rhythm City featuring Ptah Williams, Ms. Hy-C, Boo Boo Davis, Red & Black Brass Band, Miss Jubilee, Eric McSpadden & friends, and Jeremy & LaToya. Exclusive DJ programming in Sophie’s Artist Lounge will feature Lady Jock, Papa Ray, Art Dwyer and Chilly C.

All-weekend and single-day passes are available for purchase starting at 10 a.m.  Friday, Feb. 16. A limited number of the following tickets are also available:

  • GA+ ($170 for the weekend or $90 for a single day) includes access to indoor, air-conditioned restrooms and Sophie's Gallery.
  • VIP ($225 for the weekend or $125 for a single day) includes indoor, air-conditioned restrooms; Sophie's Gallery viewing access; exclusive DJ programming and a special cocktail menu in Sophie's Artist Lounge; a festival poster and a dedicated VIP festival entry lane.
  • VIP+ ($899 for the weekend or $499 for a single day) includes all VIP amenities plus a festival merch package, a dedicated viewing area at each stage with festival seating, a food truck VIP pass, a VIP bar line, select complimentary beverages in the VIP Lounge, a VIP parking pass and a VIP+ laminate.
