The adoption package costs $60, including shipping and handling, and will be delivered to anyone within the contiguous United States. The zoo asks customers to order as early as possible and orders will be mailed within 14 to 21 business days of receipt.

It is also available for purchase in person at the zoo for $50 until Feb. 14.

"Amur tigers’ large size, thick fur coat, layer of fat on their flanks and belly, and extra fluffy ruff keep them warm in extremely cold environments," the zoo's website said. "This tiger is sure to make your loved one feel warm and fuzzy, too! And, your hearts will feel full knowing this gift goes toward the animals’ care and feeding."

To adopt a tiger, order online at stlzoo.org/valentine, call (314) 646-4771 and select option 2 or stop by the Welcome Desk at the Zoo’s North Entrance during open hours or at the South Entrance Welcome Desk on Saturdays and Sundays.
