ROCK HILL, Mo. — Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. (NYSE: CMG) will open a new St. Louis-area location on Thursday.

Located at 9621 Manchester Road in Rock Hill, the restaurant will feature what the company called its signature Chipotlane, a drive-thru pickup lane allowing guests to pick up their digital orders without leaving their cars.

The new store also marks the fast-casual restaurant chain’s first in Rock Hill, the company said.

Chipotlanes — which are not drive-thrus, as they have no speakers or menu boards since users have already ordered and paid online or through the Chipotle app — are being utilized more. The company in its most recent quarter said it opened 62 new restaurants, 54 of which included a Chipotlane.

Chief Executive Brian Niccol previously said during a Feb. 9 investor call discussing the company’s fourth-quarter and full-year 2022 results that more than 80% of the up to 285 restaurants Chipotle planned to open in 2023 would include Chipotlanes.
