56-year-old shot in north St. Louis dies days later

The man was found shot in the gangway of a home, police said.

ST. LOUIS — A man shot in the head in late November died from his injuries, according to authorities.

The shooting happened around 3 p.m. on Nov. 25 in the 5000 block of Claxton Avenue in the Mark Twain neighborhood of north St. Louis. Police found 56-year-old Chris Eubanks in the gangway of a home wounded.

He was in critical condition when he was rushed to the hospital. Eubanks later died five days later, police said.

Investigators are asking for the public's help. Anyone with information should call police at 314-444-5371 or CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477).
