This family will represent St. Louis in 2023 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Keep your eyes peeled for 8-year-old Nora. Keep an eye out for the float!

CHESTERFIELD, Mo. — A Chesterfield girl will have the time of her life riding in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this year in New York.

Eight-year-old Nora goes to school at Covenant Christian School and is currently in the Big Apple with her brother, her parents, and her grandparents to ride on Santa's float.

Kelly Kim said her friend, St. Louis native Kim Behlmann, is a costume producer for the parade and invited Kelly's granddaughter to join the parade and represent the Lou.

The family left St. Louis on Tuesday to spend a few days in New York City before the event.

"[I'm] way too excited!" exclaimed Nora on a Zoom call.

"We'll see how excited we are when we begin the process at 5:15 a.m.," joked Kelly. "We are excited about all the parade fun and sharing our experience with our St. Louis friends and family."

Keep an eye out for the float, Kelly said the rest of the family may make an appearance with Santa as a Christmas tree or a candy cane!
