The St. Louis Rhythm are the latest sports brand to enter the St. Louis market.

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis already has the Blues. Now it has the Rhythm.

The big difference is one is an actual professional sports team, the other could be one some day.

The National Lacrosse League unveiled the name and logo of the St. Louis Rhythm as part of NLL UnBOXed, a grassroots initiative launched in nine cities this week to expand youth exposure to indoor lacrosse in markets outside of where the league hosts its 15 top-flight franchises.

The launch comes less than a month after the International Olympic Committee voted to include lacrosse as a medal sport at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The NLL is using the announcement as a springboard to grow the game and, eventually, expand the league, with St. Louis as one of the possible landing spots for a franchise.
