Police said the vehicle struck a metal traffic sign, tree and residence.

FERGUSON, Missouri — A crash in north St. Louis County left a 20-year-old man dead early Friday morning.

Ferguson police responded to a deadly crash at about 3:30 a.m. Friday near Hereford Avenue, west of North Elizabeth Avenue, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The crash involved only one car, and the driver was the sole occupant.

According to a crash report, a 2005 Infiniti G35 failed to yield for a traffic stop and went airborne. When the vehicle landed, it began to slide and the driver overcorrected.
