Winterfest announces holiday events in Kiener Plaza

ST. LOUIS — Enjoy the lights and holiday activities with the festive Gateway Arch backdrop this holiday season.

Winterfest will take over Kiener Plaza once again. Starting Nov. 18, people can enjoy ice skating, make s'mores and enjoy the holiday lights from the fun igloos.

Nov. 18 is the kick-off with the Winterfest 5K at 7:30 a.m. That evening, enjoy the Ameren Missouri Festival of Lights and the illumination of the Salvation Army Tree of Lights. The ice rink will open at 9 a.m. with free skating all day on Nov. 18 only.

Winterfest is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 31, with extended hours between Dec. 26 and Dec. 31. Ice skating is open during those hours, with $12 adult skate rentals and $7 skate rentals.

Igloos can be reserved for up to four people for $200. S'mores kits, blankets and other add-ons can also be purchased.

Special events at Winterfest include One Nation Day on Dec. 2 featuring St. Louis' sports teams and New Year's Eve fireworks.

Winterfest is closed on Christmas Day. Ice skating is closed on Thanksgiving.

Parking is available at the Kiener Plaza East and Kiener Plaza West lots.
