ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A Kansas City man has been charged for using a metal rod to smash into 10 cars near St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

Robert Garrity, 46, was charged by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office with first-degree property damage.

According to the Bridgeton Police Department, officers responded on Oct. 12 to the 1500 block of Navaid Road for a call regarding property damage. A witness gave a description of the suspect who was damaging multiple parked vehicles.

Responding officers located a man holding a metal rod in his hand who matched the description of the suspect, according to a press release. The witness later identified him as the suspect.

Police said 10 vehicles were found with damage to their windows, causing damages over $750.

If convicted, Garrity could face up to four years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
