Missourians, share your broadband feedback by Jan. 13 to ensure federal funding

Missourians have until Friday to ensure the accuracy of broadband coverage maps, which determine Missouri's share of federal funding.

ST. LOUIS — Missourians have until Friday to file changes to broadband coverage maps.

The maps, which were last updated on Dec. 20, are what determine Missouri's share of federal broadband funding.

To ensure Missouri gets its fair share of funding, the Office of Broadband Development is encouraging Missourians to make sure their homes, businesses and communities are correctly represented on the maps.

To check if the maps accurately reflect the broadband availability in your area, enter your address here

The map will tell you your eligibility for the next round of broadband funding. Unserved locations without a broadband service option above 25 Mbps download/3 Mbps upload or underserved locations without a service option above 100 Mbps download/20 Mbps upload speed will be marked in red.

If you feel the maps do not accurately affect your broadband service options, you may submit a challenge.

Once your challenge is submitted, the FCC and contractor responsible for the map will review your request and update future versions of the map based on their decision on whether or not to accept the challenge, according to the Office of Broadband Development.
