4 injured in shooting near St. Louis County school

Police said none of the victims are students at the school.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — An investigation is underway after four people were shot in Jennings early Monday morning.

At around 7:16 a.m., St. Louis County police responded to a call for a shooting in the 8800 block of Cozens Avenue. Officers found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds in the area of Shannon Avenue and Brookfield Drive near Jennings Senior High School. Two other victims were found nearby, police said.

Police said the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to area hospitals for treatment. Officials also said none of the victims are students at the school.

The St. Louis County Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons unit is leading the investigation. Anyone with information should call police at 636-529-8210 or CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS (8477).
