JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. — A woman has been charged in the fatal shooting of her father after an alleged domestic dispute turned deadly Sunday night in Jefferson County.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a shooting just before midnight at a home on the 100 block of Hartford Court, which is off of Old Highway 141 south of Fenton. A man was found lying in front of the home with a gunshot wound. Deputies began first aid and he was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

Police identified him Monday morning as 51-year-old Charles Holt of Fenton.

On Tuesday, the sheriff's office confirmed Holt's daughter, 26-year-old Laminia Holt, was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. She's being held in the Jefferson County Jail without bond.

The sheriff's office said Monday the incident appeared to have stemmed from a domestic dispute earlier in the day.

The shooting was captured on surveillance video, investigators said. The footage showed Charles Holt walk away from his daughter, who was standing in the driveway with a gun. When he approached the front porch, he turned around, Laminia Holt walked forward several steps and then shot her father, according to court records.

Investigators and court records do not give any further details about what happened before the fatal shooting.
