Police seek help to identify woman's remains found in Clinton County, Illinois ditch

The woman is described as a white female, who was approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighed 127 pounds, police said

CLINTON COUNTY, Illinois — Illinois State Police need help identifying remains found in a ditch last week near Trenton, Illinois, located about 33 miles west of St. Louis.

Police said they believe the remains, which were found in an "advanced state of decomposition" are that of a woman. They were found in the ditch of the Illinois Route 160 on-ramp to New U.S. Route 50.

The woman is described as a white female, who was approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighed 127 pounds, according to a press release from ISP. She was wearing jean shorts with an "American Indian style pattern" and a Trolls t-shirt, similar to the one pictured below.
