Man killed in north St. Louis double shooting identified

ST. LOUIS — The man killed in a double shooting Monday night in north St. Louis has been identified.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting happened just after 11 p.m. on the 5400 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, which borders the Wells-Goodfellow and Hamilton Heights neighborhoods.

Woodrow Thomas, 43, was shot in the abdomen and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another man, age 28, was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was conscious and breathing, police said.

The department's homicide division is conducting an investigation. No further information on the victims or the circumstances of the shooting was available.
