MetroLink trains running again after delays caused by car crash on EB I-70

A car at the scene appeared to be flipped on its side on top of the MetroLink tracks

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — The N. Hanley Road exit is back open and MetroLink trains are running again after a crash on eastbound Interstate 70 Wednesday morning.

MetroLink trains were halted between Lambert Airport and North Hanley Road for part of the morning but are now running again on a single track.

"Passengers traveling between the Lambert Airport and North Hanley Stations may experience delays of up to 30 minutes at this time. An update will be provided once regular service is completely restored," Metro Transit said in a rider alert.

A car crashed and flipped on its side on top of the MetroLink tracks. It was later towed from the scene. There was no word on if anyone was injured.
