Man, woman carjacked on Cherokee Street

ST. LOUIS — An investigation is underway after a man and woman were carjacked in a popular area of Cherokee Street Tuesday evening.

Officers responded to the 2700 block of Cherokee Street around 7:20 p.m. where the victims said they had just parked and exited their car when an unknown man got out of a red sedan and approached them with a gun.

The man demanded their keys and then took off in their car.

The investigation is ongoing.
