Tracking the cold air in the St. Louis area

The below average temperatures will continue through the middle of November.

ST. LOUIS — A southern storm system brought decent rain to southern Missouri and northern Arkansas Wednesday evening. The cold air continued to slide south into the St. Louis area overnight.

Thursday morning, the cold air will cause a few flurries early in the metro area. Mainly south of St. Louis.

The clearing line will advance through the metro area by lunchtime. The gusty winds will continue through the evening.

By Friday morning, temperatures across the area will drop into the teens and lower 20s.

After briefly warming Saturday afternoon into the 50s to perhaps near 60, another shot of cold air will arrive later Sunday and sticking around through Wednesday. 

Veterans Day looks quite cold with highs near 30, nearly 25 degrees below average for this time of year.
