Man hit and killed in St. Louis hit-and-run identified

ST. LOUIS — A man was hit and killed by a car early Monday in north St. Louis. The driver is still wanted.

Police said the victim was hit by car at about 12:30 a.m. near N. Broadway and Calvary, which is near Bellefontaine Cemetery.

St. Louis police said the driver took off and left the scene.

The man later died at a hospital. He was identified as 24-year-old Johnathan Jones. Jones lived on the 6000 block of Shulte Avenue, about two miles from the crash.

Police have not released any further details at this time.
