Car flips in crash with bus in Madison County

Two people are in the hospital after a driver sideswiped a school bus.

MADISON COUNTY, Ill. — Firefighters and police are responding after a bus and car were involved in a crash in Madison County, Illinois.

A spokesman with the Madison County Sheriff's Department said the crashed happened at around 3:30 on the 3100 block of Harris Lane, not far from Highway 255.

Two people are in the hospital after a driver sideswiped a school bus. The Madison County Sheriff said the car rolled several times. The driver and passenger are both being treated for injuries, but are expected to make a full recovery.

Two students, the driver and a bus monitor were on the bus at the time. None of them were injured.
