Man shot and killed outside Sam's Meat Market in Ferguson, police say

The two men were arguing when one man pulled out a gun and shot the other.

FERGUSON, Mo. — A man is dead after an argument led to a shooting outside Sam's Meat Market in Ferguson, Missouri, Tuesday.

Police said the shooting happened a little before 4 p.m. near the meat market on the 9200 block of W Florissant Avenue. The two men were arguing inside the store. They continued to argue outside when one man pulled out a gun and shot the other.

The man was taken from the scene for treatment but later died from his injuries.

The shooter ran off and has not been caught. He was last seen running east on Canfield Drive.

The investigation is ongoing.
