Argosy Casino in Alton to reopen Tuesday afternoon, host job fair Wednesday and Thursday

The casino has been closed due to flooding for all but eight days since May 3.

The second flooding based closing for Argosy Casino will come to an end Tuesday afternoon.

Argosy Casino closed on May 24 due to flooding on the Mississippi River. Now, a month later, the casino is expected to reopen Tuesday afternoon at 3.

This was the second closure of the season. The casino was closed from May 3 until May 16 due to flooding.

In addition to reopening the casino, Argosy will be hosting a job fair on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday's fair is from 3 to 6 p.m. and Thursday's fair is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

They are looking for full-time and part-time employees across all shifts. Interviews and job offers will be made at the fair.
