Saint Louis Zoo to close early on Friday

The zoo is preparing for their upcoming 'Zoofari' fundraiser on June 21.

ST. LOUIS — The Saint Louis Zoo will close early on Friday, June 21.

The zoo will close in preparation for their upcoming fundraiser, ZOOFARI 2019 presented by Wells Fargo Advisors.

The Zoo will be open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday and will reopen at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 22.

ZOOFARI will take place on Friday June 21, from 7 p.m. to midnight. The event will feature live music and food from many of St. Louis’ finest restaurants. There will also be a silent auction and raffle.  

Tickets are still available for purchase at $250 per person for the general public and $200 per person for ZOO members. Free parking will be provided on the South lot on Wells Drive.

Attendees must be at least 21 years old to enter. The dress code is “creative black-tie attire.”

The event hopes to raise money to save endangered species both here and around the world.
