Sights and sounds from Blues parade and rally

Early estimates say half a million people flocked to downtown to celebrate the first Stanley Cup in Blues franchise history.

ST. LOUIS — It's been 52 years in the making, but now the St. Louis Blues are Stanley Cup Champions.

Saturday's parade and rally at the Arch turned downtown into a sea of blue.

As the morning went on, the sun came out. And so did the fans.

As the players marched down Market Street, at times it felt more like a meet-and-greet than a parade.

And while it was never in doubt who deserved the cheers on this day, there was an unmistakable feeling what took center stage.

For a town often perceived as the city of yesterday, this parade marched in a hope for tomorrow.
